Last Day for Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Mini Catalog
If you are browsing through your Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini catalog, let me remind you that today is the last day to purchase many of the products….it expires at 11:50P (MT). Don't delay…what's available today will bring tears tomorrow. Here is a card showing off the beautiful flower bunch image found in the So Very Grateful stamp set and how it softens and presents a feminine side to the Hardwood Background stamp.
The quick and easy card deets….
- The Sahara Sand card base measures the 4" x 5-1/2". Purposely shortened width by 1/4"
- The matted layer consists of Blushing Bride that is heat embossed using the Hardwood Background stamp and Stampin' Clear Embossing Powder. Oh, soooo pretty!
- I took my Bitty Butterfly Punch and punched one out from under the area that the watercolored focal image was going to be place. Shhhhh, no one is going to even know….teehehehe.
- I wrapped some 3/4" Blushing Bride Chevron Ribbon around the embossed layer and tied off with Gold Baker's Twine.
- The Hardwood embossed layer is popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals and attached to the card base.
- The center focal point was stamped with Jet Black StazOn ink onto Watercolor Paper. NOTE: when watercoloring, you want to use a permanent ink to avoid washing and blending non-permanent ink with the pretty coloring you will be doing.
- I used my Aqua Painter and ink pad colors of Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, Wild Wasabi, and Crushed Curry to color my image. I love the watercolor affect because you can water down your ink to display lighter highlights; or pick up less watered down ink to express darker shades. NOTE: you can use your Stampin' Reinkers to put drops of ink onto a plate/lid; or before opening your ink pad, you squish the lid to the ink pad so that the inside of the lid will have some of the ink on it when you open it. Don't worry, you won't break the ink pad when you squish/press together the lid to the ink pad. I am envisioning the fret on your face as I type this. hahaha
- Layer the watercolored image onto Rich Razzleberry, add Stampin' Dimensionals and set into place. Top off the beautiful flowers with Basic Pearls….don't forget to add beauty to your Bitty Butterfly, too.
- The Thank You sentiment is also a part of the So Very Grateful stamp set. Inked up with Jet Black StazOn, stamped onto Blushing Bride cardstock and die cut using one of the Word Bubbles Framelits Dies….I just hand-snipped the 'tail' off to make it a smooth rectangle that had 'built in' rounded corners.
So, so lovely! If you enjoy coloring, whether it be with inks, crayons or colored pencils, this image from the So Very Grateful stamp set will be a quick favorite. Today is the last day to order it from the Occasions Mini Catalog (before 11:50P MT)…don't miss it!
