OSAT Blog Hop — Manly Country Club Golfer
Good morning stampers and paper crafters! Welcome to the May One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop. My name is Lori Mueller (stampindreams.com) and I'm excited you've stopped by. This may be your first stop on the hop, or you may have hopped over here from the previous OSAT designer. Either way, in order to view all of the blog participants sharing their wonderful project(s), click on the next person in line within the list of blogger's posted at the end. We've got some amazing projects to share with you!
This month's theme is "Manly May" or anything masculine. Well, that means I get to play with the Country Club Suite of products. My husband's favorite pasttime is golfing, and due to the strange weather in Nebraska the last couple of years, the golf courses have only been closed a handful of weeks. When he's out on the greens, I'm content to stamp and share my creations with you. YAY!!

The starting point for this card was the Country Club Designer Series Paper. There's a retired pro golfer who was easily recognized by the argyle pants he wore during each tournament. This pattern reminded me of him. I love the color combination of Mint Macaron, Garden Green, Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry. The subtle Mint Macaron cardbase sets the tone for the Golf Club die to stand as a silhouette resting on a Poppy Parade die cut from the Painted Labels die set.

The Golf Club die set has all the elements that you'd find in a typical golf bag — golf tees, golf balls, clubs, and a bit of cut grass from the course. At the end of the year, there's enough of the dried out grass to build a birds nest! Well, maybe not that much, but pretty close! I took a piece of the Garden Green Country Club Twine and unwound all the fine strands to wrap and tie into a bow. It reminded me of all the grass stuck to the bottom of golf shoes and the towel used to wash and dry the balls that rolled into a pond or sand bunker.
The sentiment came from the Clubhouse stamp set. It was inked with Night of Navy, stamped onto Whisper White cardstock, and die cut with a banner die found in the Golf Club die set. The Golf cart shield is part of one of the Country Club Designer Series paper patterns — and, there's a die, too! Gotta love it when dies and designer paper coordinate! I finished with a splattered texture over the card front using the brush end of my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker and flicking it from the inside of the cap. Envision the golfer in a sand bunker and that is sand flying after the swing! Teehehe
At this time, you are now ready to hop on over to the next OSAT designers blog. You won't want to miss traveling on as I know they will have something fun, cute and exciting to share with you. If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click your way through the blog list found below. Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!
