Stamp It Blog Hop — Christmas in July
Good morning stampers and paper crafters! Thank you for stopping by to check out my share of the Stamp It Blog Hop. When I first thought about this month's theme "Christmas in July'", I wasn't fully in the mood to stamp a Christmas card because of the high heat and humidity here in Nebraska. Buuut, as it turns out, today is going to be in the low to mid-80's. Cooler weather sure does help steer the mind to craft with Christmas spirit. Fa-la-la-la!
If you have been traveling along the Stamp It Group Blog Hop, you may have come here from my sweet friend, Tami White's blog. If this is your very first stop, I want to thank you so much for stopping to visit me. If you like to skip and hop and happen to get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
Are you wondering to yourself, "what stamp set is this? Oooh! and, how did you do that quilting?" Teehehe Well, one of the wonderful pillow gifts I received in Thailand was a brand new bundle that will be coming out with the new Holiday catalog. The "Christmas Quilt" stamp set and coordinating "Quilt Builder Framelits Dies" is part of a new suite of products that you are going to fall in love with. I know I have.
Creative Tips:
- The color combination includes Real Red, Blushing Bride, Garden Green and Pool Party all topping a 3×3, Whisper White cardbase. Using the Quilt Builder Framelits and the Big Shot, I die cut the quilt from each color. Separate the pieces from the frame of the quilt pattern and rearrange the colors and piece them back into the quilt frame to your liking
- The focal image is made up of a Lemon Lime Twist scallop circle die using the Layering Circle Framelits and the Big Shot. Stamp the flower image with Pool Party Classic Ink and die cut with coordinating framelit. Adhere to the scallop circle with Fast Fuse. Stamp the sentiment with Real Red Classic Ink onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock and add with Stampin' Dimensionals. Dress it up with a small strand of Mini Silver Sequences and a Whisper White Baker's Twine bow.
- Since there were 4 colors used, it made it very easy to create 4 of these adorable 3×3 note cards. Super CUTE!!

When I first saw this quilt bundle, I wasn’t impressed by them because I don’t like quilting. It seems too old fashioned for this modern kind of girl. But after seeing the beautiful cards you made, I am hooked. I must have this stamp bundle! I could even see this ending up my Christmas card this year. Then again, I haven’t seen the catalog yet,. 😉 Beautiful job! #Stampitcontest
