OSAT Blog Hop — Sixteen Candles with Forever Blossoms

Hello-hello stampers and paper crafters! Welcome to the One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Design Team Blog Hop. My name is Lori Mueller (stampindreams.com) and I'm super excited to have you visiting me today. This month's theme is Sixteen Candles (aka…anything birthday related). I'm desperately needing to get some birthday cards made and sent — my stock has been depleted for a while, so this couldn't be better timing to check a box on my "to-do" list!

The Forever Blossoms stamp set and coordinating Cherry Blossoms Dies has been sitting nearby waiting for me to add some ink. There are a handful of sentiments included in the set, but none of them hit the 'birthday' theme. So, I pulled out one of my favorite sentiment sets from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog, Peaceful Moments. It covers quite a few different occasions…a must-have stamp set!

I love the simplicity of the design layout…although, there are a few intricate details that make it appear more complicated. There is only one layer added to the Whisper White Thick cardstock base…a strip of Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper for an added touch of elegance and a piece of Whisper White cardstock embossed with the Subtles 3D Embossing folder. I did pop up the embossed layer for dimension and trimmed the right edge with two Petal Pink fancy edging die cuts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits set. The leaves and flowers were inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Old Olive (Dark & Light) and Petal Pink (Dark & Light) Stampin' Blends markers.

For a contrast color, I threw in a Cherry Cobbler piece of cardstock embossed with the new Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder topped with a stretch of Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edge Ribbon. The sentiment inked with Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped onto a Stitched Oval die. The Champagne Rhinestones give it the final elegant touch.
