Hello and welcome stampers and paper crafters to our August Stamp It Bog Hop.  This month's theme is anything related to one of my favorite seasons of all…Fall!!  Can you believe that we have entered the doorway to September 1st?!!  YIKES!!  We'll hold onto your boots because we are going to have some gorgeous creations for you to enjoy.  Let's go take a gander, shall we!

I'm needing to stock up on some Thank You notes for my wonderful customers, but needed something that was easy to mass produce, yet, still has that WOW element.  It has been a really long time since I had pulled out the Jar of Love, Thankful Thoughts, and Timeless Textures stamps sets…so, nothing like the present, right?!!  Plus, I found a card on page 125 of the Annual catalog that inspired me.  If you flip to that page, do you think you could tell which card I'm referring to?  I changed up the colors (Early Espresso and Highland Heather) and tweaked a couple things, but the layout is still the same.

Heat embossing is always a fun technique to do, but, it is even more fun for the recipient because it hits that "WOW" factor.  I really love the Copper Embossing powder…it heats up so evenly and is absolutely gorgeous!  The little trim on the side is the negative strip to one of the Delightfully Detailed Specialty papers borders.  I thought is was kind of neat how it accentuates the banner cut Vellum Cardstock piece.

  53. #stampitcontest I don’t have the newer colors yet, since I’ve only recently become a demo again after a 6 yr absence. I can’t wait to see in person the highland heather with espresso. I don’t think I’d have ever thought to use those together, even though I LOVE early espresso.
